There’s been a furious reaction from online Celtic fans to the business as usual stance of the club and Neil Lennon today.
Neil Lennon and Scott Bain faced the media in press conferences, remotely, with the club later posting the clips to YouTube for fans to view.
There is no word on the status of the ‘new year review’.
There is no acknowledgement that change is needed at the club or any sort of communication on plans for the future.
There is no sign of a management change, caretaker or otherwise.
As it stands, Neil Lennon will very much be in the dugout at Rugby Park tomorrow as Celtic take on Kilmarnock.
That’s despite one win in six and performances since the turn of the year barely getting better.
Celtic, as a club, are in a complete rut and the manager stands as a barrier to progress.
Neil Lennon has lost the Celtic fans
That’s why supporters are annoyed tonight. The official Twitter account is taking a pounding, even beyond the rancour that it has experienced in recent weeks.
Thousands of replies are being left on the press conference post, with very few retweets and likes in comparison. That ratio is a sign of the feeling out there.
Lennon, going by his comments on Saturday, has lost the dressing room. He’s lost the fans. The only people still backing him are those who have the power to make the correct decision.
These supporters have taken to social media in an attempt to let the club know how they feel about the situation…
Do the comments on this post and the general sentiment that Neil is no longer wanted at the clubs by the fans passed onto the board? Or is this just an empty vacuum. It’s a slap in the face having this man at the club after this record breaking low of a season.

Time’s up Neil. A shame given everything he’s done for us. If he’s on a one-year rolling contract I’d like to know if they gave him his notice post Ibrox? It’s clear they won’t sack him & he wont leave unless he’s paid off. He’ll be lucky to get another management job again.

#LennonOut we don’t want him. You’re making this situation worse the longer you keep him. If you only want 30k season tickets sold, then you’re going the right way about it. Where’s our January review? pic.twitter.com/LviGwdcOe1

Creating a monster Celtic – You’re losing support right now by not sacking Neil Lennon. Start the rebuild now! He’s embarrassing everyone anytime he speaks with his unprofessional manor. You’ll see this monster at the season book renewals ❌ 🎫 💰

“Gazumped” – is that what we’ve now to call Celtic screwing up the signing of a player who’s been available for the whole transfer window? #amateurs

More embarrassing day by day , double Euro exit should have sealed his exit , spineless from boardroom to dressing room . If he was appointed in Hampden dressing room then he should have been sacked in Celtic park dressing room at 5pm on Saturday . Like a parody now just go pic.twitter.com/hEajGxWZ94

Every day just gets worse. This is beyond embarrassing. This is delusional nonsense allowed to happen by a clueless board and major shareholder who just want to stick it up to the fans who have the temerity to ask for change after the worse season since before Jock Stein.

Going to yank my own teeth out with a pair of old pliers instead if it’s all the same to you?
