Summer signing Boli Bolingoli has not been at Celtic for that long, having joined the club from Rapid Vienna. But in his short time at the club, he has already been impressed with Hoops skipper Scott Brown.

Bolingoli expressed his admiration for the Hoops skipper in an interview on Celtic TV.

“He’s a big leader, he’s a legend for me” the Celtic left-back said.

“The way how he plays every game, you can only look up to him. For sure in the last game, in the derby, he went in a duel, I was looking at him like ‘damn yeah, that’s a real captain!'”

It is notable that Bolingoli has singled out Brown after such a short time at the club. It shows how important that Brown is to the squad overall.

Captain back to his best in recent win

The Hoops skipper was criticised last season following some poor performances. However, in the recent derby win over Rangers he was back to his best. He drove Celtic on to a notable victory. It is no wonder that Bolingoli was impressed with his captain’s performance.

Perhaps Bolingoli was inspired by Brown’s performance against Rangers. The Hoops left-back produced his best performance yet for Celtic in the win at Ibrox.

He didn’t put a foot wrong, and stood up to every attack which came down his wing. Hopefully Bolingoli’s Hoops career goes from strength to strength as a result of his performance in the derby.
