"Borderline delusion" - Celtic fans shoot down bizarre Motherwell take on Sunday's clash

Celtic fans have been having their say after a Motherwell tweet seemed to suggest they were unlucky to lose to Ange Postecoglou’s side on Sunday.

The Steelmen went down 1-0 at Parkhead, but in truth, it’s a game that could easily have been 3 or 4-0 had the Hoops been more clinical in front of goal.

James Forrest and Tom Rogic were both guilty of passing up huge opportunities in a match Celtic dominated.

But, after Graham Alexander moaned a little at the referees, the Lanarkshire club have continued their “hard done by” narrative.

They posted a 74 second review of the game on Monday, with the caption: “Play like that and the rewards will come.”

We know that the ‘Well social media team are fond of a birthday caird quote or two, but this one has certainly caught the imagination of the Celtic support.

The match stats from Who Scored say Celtic had 26 shots to Motherwell’s 9, with over 70% of possession in the Hoops favour at all.

It says a lot about the performances from Ange’s men this season, that sides reckon they’ve performed well even when being utterly dominated.

The noise is nothing new to Celtic or the support. Hearts grumbled, even more loudly, after their 1-0 loss at Parkhead a fortnight ago.

As for Ange and the players, they just move on to the next game and the next three points up for grabs.

In other news, Celtic may already have received a boost in the tie against Bodo/Glimt
