Brendan Rodgers has confirmed he is set to sit down with Scott Brown and discuss what’s next in the former Celtic captain’s future.
Rodgers worked closely with Brown during his time as Bhoys boss and arguably got the best form out of the midfielder than any other Celtic manager.
There’s a definite relationship there and after reports yesterday that Leicester City could be a destination for the Celtic icon, Rodgers has confirmed there has been contact.

Speaking to The Daily Record [10/03 print edition, page 58], Rodgers said about reaching out to his former player: “Yeah, I’m already on the case with that.
“We’re going to have a chat about organising for him to come down because he gave me so much in my time there and I want to try to be reciprocal to him. He’s someone that my door will always be open to.”
It comes as Ange Postecoglou also left no-one in any doubt that there would be a role for Brown somewhere at Lennoxtown if he so wished to return.
In his press conference earlier today, Postecoglou made it clear that the former midfielder could make an emotional return but that it’s something the player will take the lead on. I doubt he’ll be short of offers.
It would be great to have Brown back under the roof at Celtic, even if not in a direct first-team coaching capacity. He’s won it all and played at the highest level for the Bhoys so undoubtedly has the experience that could be beneficial to younger players.
There’s also the chance he is a talented coach in his own right, in which case it makes sense to create a pathway for him at Lennoxtown to work more formally under Postecoglou.
Interesting times ahead, however it shakes out.
