Brendan Rodgers has revealed some good news on the Celtic injury front. The Hoops boss disclosed that Kieran Tierney is back in full training.
Rodgers did temper expectations by admitting that the left-back has to find his ‘football fitness’.
Rodgers made the announcement on the club’s official Twitter account.
Celtic fans will be thrilled that Tierney is back after being out for two months. A hip injury kept him out of some big games, including the 1-0 loss to Rangers at Ibrox.

Rodgers’ comments seem to indicate that Tierney could play some sort of role in the upcoming Scottish Cup clash against St Johnstone. At best that is likely to be a place on the bench.

However, if they can get 20 minutes out of Tierney he should be in contention to start Thursday’s Europa League came with Valencia.
Normally it would be a risk to throw Tierney back into the side after being out for so long. But he is such a key man to the way Celtic play, it would perhaps be a risk worth taking.

The Hoops will need as many as their best players as they can muster on the pitch against Valencia if they are to pull off a win.
It will be up to the Celtic management team to decide how involved Tierney is against St Johnstone and Valencia. Above all, they have to manage his time on the pitch, to make sure the injury does not reoccur.
