Brendan Rodgers has a big job on his hands to try and secure a result in tonight’s Champions League fixture against Atalanta.
With three points on the board, Celtic are still in the driving seat to qualify from the league phase despite suffering a setback against Borussia Dortmund earlier this month.
However, Atalanta poses a big problem for Celtic and not many people are giving Brendan Rodgers’ team a chance against the current Europa League holders.
The Celtic boss is adamant that he won’t ditch his attacking style in the Champions League and Massimo Donati has urged Rodgers to stick to his principles against Atalanta.
Massimo Donati tells Celtic to face Atalanta with ‘no fear’
Donati told STV, “Atalanta play 1 v 1, they don’t care if it is 4-4-2 or 4-3-2-1, they just go man to man and they try to press a lot, so for the opponents, Celtic in this case, it is never easy.
“I played under Gasperini at Palermo and he plays great football, we played some great football under him and when I was on the pitch I knew what I had to do with the ball or without the ball.
“But, I think you should never lose your identity, if Brendan Rodgers thinks he feels good playing a certain way with the team and the mentality then he has to do it.
“The most important thing is to have no fear, to go there and be scared of playing against Atalanta would be a mistake.

“Atalanta is not invincible, they have already lost a couple of games in the league this season as well.
“I would love a draw, both Celtic and Atalanta are very important to me, so I would be happy with a draw.”
Brendan Rodgers’ all-time European record with Celtic, Liverpool and Leicester City
The Champions League criticism Celtic and Brendan Rodgers get have clearly rankled the Hoops boss.
So here, 67 Hail Hail takes a look at Rodgers’ all-time record as a manager in Europe with Celtic, Liverpool and Leicester City over the years to get a wider picture of how they all compare.
| Brendan Rodgers in Europe | Played | Won | Drawn | Lost | Win % |
| Celtic | 50 | 18 | 9 | 23 | 36% |
| Liverpool | 22 | 9 | 6 | 7 | 40% |
| Leicester City | 22 | 10 | 6 | 6 | 45% |
| TOTAL | 94 | 37 | 21 | 36 | 39% |
Despite having the riches of the two Premier League clubs, Rodgers’ percentage win record is not too dissimilar to that of Liverpool and Leicester.
However, it’s Celtic’s heavy losses that Rodgers needs to address and, hopefully, that starts tonight in Bergamo against Atalanta.
