Broadcaster Premier Sports have confirmed via their official website that they’ll be showing six Celtic matches in July and August.

We are now just days away from seeing the Scottish champions back on our screens in match action, with Neil Lennon’s Bhoys due to head to France to take part in three friendly games against Ligue 1 opposition.

The Hoops will play Nice on July 16th, Lyon on July 18th and Paris Saint-Germain on July 21st, with all three games confirmed to be live on Premier Sports 1.

Subscribers will also be able to catch Celtic’s bid to qualify for the Champions League group stages, with coverage of our first three qualifying ties confirmed by Premier Sports subject to progression in the tournament.

This season, because of the pandemic, UEFA qualifying has been streamlined into one-off matches which will be played home or away.

While Celtic will be a seeded team throughout the process, the venues will be decided purely on the luck of the draw.

Lennon’s team haven’t played a match for four months so the fact we’ll be able to watch them on our TV screens, albeit in a friendly, this Thursday is fantastic news.

The squad have been hard at work in England at Loughborough University and it’ll be intriguing to see what kind of shape the team are in ahead of next month’s Scottish Premiership kick-off.
