Celtic are yet to fully get performing this season.
Brendan Rodgers says Celtic are still dealing with the consequences of a summer transfer window which saw the squad get weaker rather than stronger.
On top of that, Daizen Maeda has made it public that he wanted to leave Celtic, leaving Rodgers with one of his star players openly unsettled.
Whilst the Hoops have shown good signs at points this season, a poor Europa League defeat to Braga was a clear sign that things are not where they should be.
And for one former Celtic midfielder, the squad is underperforming to such a degree that only three players are worthy of positive marks.
Peter Grant on which Celtic players have been playing well
Brendan Rodgers is usually credited for improving players, but numerous members of his current squad are currently off their game.
After the Hoops built up a reliable element of consistency last season, things are looking some way off that at the moment.

Peter Grant, speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, has said that just three players are worthy of mention for positive performances so far this season.
He said: “If I said now, which players have been performing above a seven, you’d find it very difficult. The only one – and he’s got a lot of criticism – I’d say Scales. And that is it. And I’m just talking on his defending, I’m not talking about his distribution.”
“Tounekti, yes, but he’s only come in for the last few games. Nygren, I’ll give him that because he’s scored a few goals. But after that, you’re saying that there’s a lot of people who’ve dropped below the standards.
“And playing constantly and winning constantly, you’re needing guys to be on seven or eight, near enough week-in week-out. Which Celtic boys have been for a long time.
“At this moment in time, I’m finding it hard to push that. Tounekti in the last few weeks, Nygren and Scales is probably it.”
An interesting selection, for sure.
Which Celtic players have been underperforming this season?
Celtic captain Callum McGregor has come in for criticism so far this season – this has been a rarity over the last five years.
Fellow squad leader Kasper Schmeichel made a costly error against Braga, putting his form under scrutiny.
Cameron Carter-Vickers and Reo Hatate are two further examples of players fans have come to expect more from. The Maeda situation is an obvious reason for his lack of form.
Will the Hoops’ new signings step up, or will their key players rediscover their form from last season? Celtic need some inspiration from somewhere.
