Some Celtic fans are looking forward to rolling back the years tonight with a watch of BT Sport’s highlights of a famous 4-3 win over Juventus in 2001.
Goals from Chris Sutton, Joos Valgaeren and Henrik Larsson ensured Martin O’Neill’s side would beat one of the best teams in Europe at the time in front of a sold-out Celtic Park.
Although Celtic needed a victory to progress in that season’s competition, Porto would eventually go through after beating Rosenborg.
Nonetheless, it was a great European night with an electric atmosphere that will live long in the memory of anyone who attended.
Extended highlights will be aired tonight on BT Sport 3 at 8:30pm, the broadcaster announced earlier today.
With a sumptuous volley from Sutton and a dazzling display from Lubo Moravcik, there’s much to look forward to with the highlights.
People are being urged by the government not to leave their homes right now due to the ongoing pandemic, so whatever Celtic entertainment comes our way should be grabbed with both hands.
There’s no firm date for a real return of Celtic action but tonight’s highlights will at least serve as a reminder of just how exciting and brilliant it can be to support the Hoops.
Hopefully, Neil Lennon’s Bhoys can give us more magical moments before too long.
These fans enjoyed BT Sport’s post of Sutton’s second goal earlier today, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
