Callum McGregor provided the inspiration needed on his return from injury as Celtic took a giant step towards eight-in-a-row.
McGregor made his first appearance since the defeat to Valencia at the end of February.
The midfielder’s presence on the ball was a huge factor in Celtic’s fighting win over Dundee.

He did nothing flashy, just like normal he kept the play ticking along for Celtic.
It seems that Celtic have a number of midfielders who can do that job.
However, no one can deny Celtic aren’t at their fluent best if McGregor isn’t in midfield.
Even as they struggled to break through a tight Dundee defence, McGregor worked tirelessly to provide the inspiration his side needed.
In the end, the winner came from Odsonne Edouard and James Forrest linking up before the Frenchman fired home the winner.

In the deeper role he has made his own, McGregor can grab games by the scruff of the neck.
However, not in the typical British football way of speaking.
McGregor dominates games by playing short, sharp, intelligent passes to his attackers. His work rate in the Celtic side is second to none.
He covers every blade of grass every week and is fully deserving of his status as Celtic’s most influential player.

Celtic’s star man
On his return from injury, McGregor showed us all why he’s Celtic’s star man.
It is a tremendous boost for Celtic to have him back for their upcoming title run in.
If he manages to stay injury free on Scotland duty, he should come back raring to go for the end of the season.
And with the first game back against Rangers, don’t be surprised to see him hit top form straight away.
