On the face of it, it looks as if Calvin Miller doesn’t have much of a future at Celtic. The player spent time on loan at both Dundee and Ayr United last season.
He has now returned to Celtic after the loan moves came to an end. However, he is hopeful that he will get a chance to prove to Neil Lennon that he deserves a run in the first-team.
Given debut by Lennon

Indeed, Miller was given his Hoops debut by Lennon during a winter training camp.
He is excited about Lennon’s appointment as Celtic manager.
“Neil actually gave me my non-competitive debut against Galatasaray just a few days after I turned 16” he said, as reported by the Herald.

“Delighted he has got the job”
“I know Neil, and I am delighted that he has got the job because he has a great enthusiasm for the game and I really enjoyed the time I had before when I was working with him.”
Miller could actually be given a chance to stake his claim for a first-team place next season. The Hoops are in a bit of a quandary at left-back.

Emilio Izaguirre has left the club. Kieran Tierney is recovering from a double hernia operation. At the moment, Jonny Hayes is the only left-back that is fit and available for the start of next season.
Therefore, Miller, who has played at left-back for the Hoops, could be called upon for the start of the Champions League qualifiers.
Should he get picked and do well, he might well have a future at the club.
