Forgotten Celtic man Calvin Miller was clearly one of the many of a Hoops persuasion who enjoyed Hamilton’s win at Ibrox last night.

Neil Lennon’s men extended their lead at the top of the Premiership to a very lucky 13 points, despite only drawing at Livingston.

That was down to Accies’ tremendous 1-0 success at hapless Rangers, on yet another defining night in the Premiership title race.

And Miller is still enjoying the result on Thursday by the looks of things.

The forgotten Celtic star – who has missed virtually all of this season through injury – retweeted a post-match tweet from Hamilton midfielder Scott Martin – who started the game.

Of course, there’s a pretty good chance that Miller knows, or is even friends with, Martin.

The pair have never played together at club level but they are both 22 and have featured for Scotland at various young levels.

Nevertheless, it’s just great to see one of our own players basking in the glory of Hamilton Accies winning at Ibrox.

Miller would be well suited to a team like Hamilton

Miller may not be a Celtic player for too much longer though.

His contract is up at the end of May (transfermarkt.co.uk) and you’d reckon we would have renewed it by now if we had any intention of keeping him on.

He’s been unlucky with a long-term injury that has kept him out for virtually this whole season, but you wonder if he would have got many games in any case.

Hopefully, if he does go, he can find another club in the top-flight who play good football and give him a chance to get some game time.

Maybe he could even link up with his good buddy Martin at Hamilton.
