Cameron Carter-Vickers has been missing for Celtic in recent weeks.
The American centre-half was a major loss during their 7-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund where his composure would certainly have benefitted his side.
He was also ruled out of three other fixtures with what has been described by Brendan Rodgers as a niggling injury and one the club will have to manage moving forward.
Auston Trusty has deputised for CCV in recent times and proven to be a worthy back-up for the 26-year-old but fans have been clamouring to see their main defender back in action.

It is now being reported by the Daily Record that Carter-Vickers has returned to training with his Hoops teammates and will likely be available for the manager to pick him this weekend.
It is a top of the table clash at Parkhead between the Hoops and Jimmy Thelin’s Aberdeen with both clubs unbeaten in the Premiership with an impressive seven wins from seven.
The same publication reports that CCV was back on the grass with the rest of the squad but there remains a question for Rodgers to answer in terms of personnel on Saturday.
Cameron Carter-Vickers is back in Celtic training after injury
Carter-Vickers has not featured in four outings and that sees the Northern Irishman yet to decide how much exposure he gives his player to first-team action so soon after his return.
Liam Scales has partnered CCV over the past season and a half and has shown himself to be the experienced campaigner beside Trusty who continues to learn the position of right-sided centre-half since arriving from Sheffield United.
Auston Trusty has been Carter-Vickers’ centre-half deputy
The American – a teammate of Carter-Vickers’ with the USA national team – was a £5million summer signing from the Blades and could still be the former’s partner on the left-hand side down the line.
It’s a 3pm kick-off between the two league leading sides at Parkhead on Saturday.
