Cameron Carter-Vickers capped a wonderful weekend for Celtic by scoring against Aberdeen and will be determined to make an impact when the Bhoys return to Champions League action this week.
The 26-year-old opened the scoring in fine fashion after heading home from an Arne Engels corner, setting the scene for a triumph that will live long in the memory.
With Celtic’s thumping victory over Aberdeen fresh in the memory, their mission will now be to claim another valuable Champions League result against RB Leipzig tomorrow night after four points from their opening three league phase fixtures.

Last time out, the Hoops drew with Atalanta in a match where the visitors had to show resilience to cling on. It will be intriguing to see if they chase the game at Parkhead or adopt a similar approach.
With that in mind, Cameron Carter-Vickers has laid out how Celtic are feeling with more history on their mind on Tuesday evening.
Cameron Carter-Vickers makes Celtic Champions League vow
Speaking to The Daily Record, Carter-Vickers shared his desire for Celtic to claim another important result against RB Leipzig that would undoubtedly further their Champions League prospects.
He stated: “I think so. You like to think at home you can win games and that’ll be the aim for the three games. Obviously, the home games are definitely important.
“I think we’ve got Leipzig and two others at home. So, yeah, over the course of those three games, we’re hoping to pick up as many points as possible and that’ll definitely be important.”
Later, he continued: “It will be a tough game. For us, it’s just about trying to get to the next stage of the competition and, if we can get something from the game on Tuesday, we’ll almost be there.”
He finished, citing Atalanta as an example to follow: “Ideally, when we go out, we want to try and dominate every game we play, but we know that’s probably not possible when you play against the better teams. Like the boys showed [against Atalanta], I thought that kind of defensive resolve and being able to stick in games as well is going to be important for us Tuesday.
“I think we can do that. It’s just about understanding what game we’re in and, as a team, everyone having the same idea and sticking together through the moments. Like I said, we showed that and we’ll probably have to show that going forward in the competition as well. Obviously, all the games in the Champions League are a challenge. I thought the boys did really well away in Atlanta to get a point. It’ll be good.”
Celtic will want to be defensively robust against Leipzig
Taking the basics first, Celtic will want to be defensively sound against a Leipzig side that have climbed to second-place in the Bundesliga standings this term.
Albeit they have only scored 15 times on league duty, Marco Rose’s outfit are a talented bunch that could cause any team in Europe problems on their day.
Nevertheless, they were beaten by Borussia Dortmund over the weekend, which could open the door for Celtic to test their confidence in front of a raucous home support. Hopefully, Brendan Rodgers can inspire another brilliant result on the continent.
