Carl Starfelt has now said he wants to emulate his old Celtic teammate Christopher Jullien in Sunday’s Scottish League Cup final.
Starfelt spoke to Football Scotland after the Bhoys latest victory in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
Celtic go into Sunday’s cup final in phenomenal form. Not only has Ange Postecoglou guided his side to nine wins on the bounce, they’ve done it in style.

Celtic are putting teams to the sword, and have scored at least three goals in each of their last four games. Kyogo Furuhashi has led the way in front of goal, and has found the back of net 22 times in all competitions already.
However, Celtic have shared the goals around this season, with 18 different players already on the score sheet.
Starfelt has found the back of the net twice, and has admitted he’d love to add to that tally for Celtic during Sunday’s final. His inspiration comes in the form of Christopher Jullien.

Starfelt dreaming of Celtic cup final goal
Asked by Football Scotland about the idea of scoring the winner on Sunday, just like Jullien, Starfelt said: “I will do my best – that would be nice!”
He added that he hopes he won’t be having to do too much defending in front of his own box.
“We like to stop the teams high up the pitch if we can do it which is why you don’t see in some games too many clearances inside the box or too many dangerous situations because we are on the front foot and really defending in their half of the pitch,” Starfelt replied.
“Defensively it is the foundation of our game to work really hard and everyone works hard defensively so we can win the ball high up the pitch.”

With Celtic currently leading the way in the Scottish Premiership, Rangers will be throwing everything at this to claim silverware at our expense. A strong defensive display will be crucial.
It’s a huge match, and Hampden Park is set to be buzzing once kick-off arrives. If Starfelt can get his cup final goal, the Celtic fans will go absolutely crazy.
At the end of the day, you expect the Swede will sacrifice any personal glory for a winner’s medal at full-time.
