Celtic face SC Braga in the next Europa League fixture of this season.

Brendan Rodgers will be keen to pick up a win after Celtic’s draw with Red Star Belgrade saw the Hoops make a good start to their Europa League campaign.

The Portuguese club head to Celtic Park after an impressive home win against Feyenoord in their first fixture in the competition.

However, SC Braga’s poor domestic form has led to fan unrest and as manager Carlos Vicens looks ahead to facing Celtic, what the supporters did to vent their anger at the team shows that all is not well at the Portuguese club.

Carlos Vicens under pressure ahead of Celtic vs SC Braga in the Europa League

Carlos Vicens has overseen a five-game winless run as Braga’s stuttering start to the domestic season continued with 1-0 home defeat to Nacional.

And after being asked about a ‘crisis’ at the club, Vicens vowed that fans will see a ‘different version’ of Braga ahead of the Celtic game.

Vicens told Correio do Minho, “We have to continue working to improve starting tomorrow [Monday], everyone, including the coach, so that we can offer a different version of Braga on Thursday in Glasgow [against Celtic].

“And this has to happen in every game, not just the big ones. We already know that the schedule is what it is and that the number of players we have is the same; that won’t change, and we can’t use any of that as an excuse.

“And if we have to make changes to freshen up the team, we will.”

What SC Braga fans did to vent their anger ahead of Celtic clash

Whilst Celtic fans have recently made their feelings perfectly clear against the Parkhead board, SC Braga fans have turned on Vicens and the team.

Braga fans waved white handkerchiefs at full time in their home defeat to Nacional and it’s not the first time that has happened this season.

The above footage was recorded in Braga’s other home defeat to Gil Vicente earlier this month and it seems that the Portuguese club will be coming to Glasgow to face Celtic under a cloud, winless and lacking in confidence.
