Celtic’s AGM could be about to be the fieriest we’ve ever seen.
A backdrop of widespread fan protests, after a desperately poor transfer window and the eventual departure of Brendan Rodgers, has made this one to keep an eye on.
But that’s if it takes place at all. Just minutes after the meeting began, it was adjourned amid a vociferous reaction to the board walking onto the stage.
Peter Lawwell https://www.67hailhail.com/tag/peter-lawwell/made this decision after being remonstrated with by one fan who approached the stage.
Boos, red cards and ‘sack the board’ chants mark a vastly different AGM atmosphere to what we’re used to.
Celtic AGM adjourned by Peter Lawwell after ‘sack the board’ chants
Anti-board banners were spotted outside Celtic Park before the AGM, setting the tone for the day.
And this sentiment has clearly carried over into the meeting, where fans are making their thoughts heard loud and clear.

Fans were told to be present at the meeting two hours before the scheduled start in some cases, and it has been noted that the attendance is much higher than in previous years.
A lively atmosphere built up before the beginning, before the Celtic board were booed onto the stage.
It has been said that some fans weren’t even paying attention to what was being said and videos that were being shown, instead kicking off chants of ‘sack the board’.
This led to Lawwell adjourning for half an hour.
If the disruption continues, the PLC board have the authority to adjourn the meeting completely, and give notice of a new one at a different date.
Or, more extremely, it could take place with just the board and auditors. In this case, all votes for re-election would be by proxy.
After all that build-up, the AGM even taking place is now in doubt. 67 Hail Hail will continue to update on the situation.
