A chance to see Celtic B in a grand setting
The Celtic youngsters have had a busy start to the season in multiple competitions at home and abroad but will now start to focus in on the Lowland League for the remainder of the campaign.
Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus’ Bhoys currently sit 7th in the table, five points behind league leaders Rangers. Celtic hold games in hand on every team above them apart from their city rivals and would be catapulted up to second if they win those matches.
A number of B-team talents are on the fringes of the Celtic first team with Rocco Vata and Bosun Lawal most recently getting the opportunity to train and play with the senior side on the trip to Sydney.
They are expected to get the chance to travel to Portugal for another warm-weather training camp next week. Tobi Oluwayemi also trains regularly with the first-team goalkeeping group.
This derby will be a chance for more Celtic fans to get the chance to see the young Hoops in matches, with most home games currently played at the Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie.
67 Hail Hail will be broadcasting a special B team focused YouTube show tomorrow on our channel with Lewis Laird, who regularly follows the team home and away, so join us for that one if you want the latest on all the goings on with the youth side.
In other news, Celtic training return and trip abroad on the way shortly after post-Sydney holiday.
