Celtic have today announced a further bonus for season ticket holders as they look to add some extra value this season.

The club has today announced that the “B” team and women’s team will both have five matches each broadcast live on the Pass to Paradise.

The Celtic B side will be part of the Scottish Lowland League for the first time ever this season. As for Fran Alonso’s women side, they’ll be competing in the Champions League for the first time ever.

It hasn’t been confirmed as to which games will be selected for broadcast.

Speaking on the update via the Celtic website, new Chief Executive Dom McKay said the following:

"Carl Starfelt to Celtic is a big possibility" | Swedish journalist Anel Avdić

“Our women’s team is progressing really well and I am sure we will go from strength to strength and the new opportunities provided to our B team will be hugely positive for the players’ development.’

“We want our fans to be close to these areas of the Club so we are delighted to offer our season ticket holders access to these matches”.

Celtic season ticket holders given chance to keep tabs on both sides

This is a decent boost to the season ticket holders who will have access to the Pass to Paradise system this season.

One of the most frustrating elements in recent years has been the lack of coverage with regard to the development side. These five matches will give fans a chance to keep tabs on how the young players at Lennoxtown are developing.

The same goes for the Women’s matches. Whilst many of them were streamed on BBC Alba last season, this new screening opportunity gives fans another chance to see more of Alonso’s project in action.

Celtic have a massive job on their hands trying to make up to their fans for the disaster that was last season. However, this is a promising move from McKay, and one fans will likely appreciate.

Here’s hoping it’s another historical season for the women’s team and a campaign of positive development from the B side.

In other news, a Celtic youngster has reportedly travelled to complete a move to England.
