Celtic fans travelling to watch the team face Rennes later this month will have to pay £40 for a match ticket.

The club recently announced details for the Europa League opener on 19th September and it promises to be another tough scramble for briefs.

Celtic are set to net an allocation of around 2,000 in the 30,000 Roazhon Park. The club released tickets on Friday morning, but announced that only some supporters would be eligible.

To be in with a chance of a ticket for the Brittany clash you must have attended at least five of Celtic’s last 18 European matches. Those who are eligible have until Tuesday to secure their seat for the clash against the Ligue 1 outfit.

Celtic should take good numbers to Rennes

The trip to Rennes is likely to be an appealing one for Celtic supporters. The club forged a friendly relationship with the French outfit when we met them back in 2011. In addition this this, the north of France will be relatively easy for supporters to reach as it’s close and doesn’t involve too many travel documents.

Hopefully Neil Lennon’s men are backed by a big support for the Group E opener. Rennes seem to pack their ground pretty regularly so it could be a slightly intimidating atmosphere for the Celtic players.

If they can have a good number of supporters backing them then it’s sure to help our chances of getting a result.
