Celtic have announced ticket details for next month’s Scottish Cup fourth round clash against Partick Thistle.

Neil Lennon’s men will kick off their 2020 campaign with the cup tie at Firhill where they’ll be backed by a sizable away support. And ticket criteria revealed by the club means that many supporters will be eligible for briefs.

To qualify for a ticket, fans must have a season ticket and have been to at least three domestic away matches so far this season. Given that that stretches all the way back to August, there are likely to be many fans given the opportunity to sort a ticket for the clash.

If they qualify, they can purchase from the ticket office with adult prices set at £20 and concessions at £15. Any under 16s can get into the clash for a very respectable £5.

Celtic should have around 6,000 at Firhill

Celtic fans are, of course, no strangers to visiting Firhill. The Glasgow side may have recently dropped out of the Premiership but we’ve drawn them on no fewer than three occasions since, including at Firhill in last year’s Betfred Cup run.

We’re likely to be hosted in the vast Jackie Husband Stand again – which can accommodate over 6,000 supporters (StadiumDB.com). We should receive the whole of that stand meaning that the away support will far outnumber those of a Thistle persuasion.

Given that we finish 2019 with a derby, it’s kind of fitting that we’ll start the new year with one too. It’s a perfect fixture to get us back into the swing of things after a three week break.

And it seems like lots and lots of Celtic fans will be given the opportunity to get along.

The deadline for purchasing tickets is on Wednesday 8th January.
