Jota will be hoping to make further Celtic impact

However, there is hope he will be able to return to action after the winter break. Celtic host Hibernian on January 17th.

There is no indication this trip to Portugal will impact his ability to make a Bhoys impact later this month.

It is sensible that a parent club would want to ensure everything is okay with one of its assets. That’s especially true if Jota was abroad as part of a break anyway.

Celtic players have had the week off from training following the beginning of the shutdown. They will return to Lennoxtown tomorrow to begin preparations for the second half of the season.

The time is not only useful for Ange Postecoglou to imprint tactical ideas and tweaks on his squad but for the injured players such as Jota to fully recover for another busy few months of matches.

If the attacker can return with the devastating form of his early Celtic spell, the hype will increase on the Bhoys doing a deal with the Portuguese club for a permanent move.

In other news, Kenny Dalglish loved Ange Postecoglou’s confrontational Celtic interview.
