Celtic attacker Mikey Johnston is battling an injury that will see him sit out the next fortnight of match preparation, The Daily Record report.
The paper say that the winger has had a scan on a thigh strain and is set to be missing for two weeks, with the rest of the squad getting ready for a January 18th return.
We play both Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup and Kilmarnock in Scottish Premiership action within that timeframe, with Ross County and St Johnstone to follow shortly after.
It seems likely that Johnston will miss at least two games and probably more too when you take match fitness into account.
The 20-year-old has had a difficult time with injuries this season, missing football between September and November after picking up a groin problem.
He was handed his first league start in nearly four months against Rangers at Celtic Park recently but this recent blow will do little to help a breakthrough into Neil Lennon’s regular starting eleven.

Rogic nearing return
The manager has also offered an update on Australian attacking midfielder Tom Rogic, telling The Daily Record that he is set to return to first-team training next week after spending time in the gym working on his core fitness.
Rogic has spent more time on the bench than the pitch of late, managing just 86 minutes of football across December (Transfermarkt).
His lack of action has become a familiar frustration from Celtic supporters but as we all know, when on top form, there is often no-one better.
If we can keep him fresh and fit in the second half of the season then he could be a crucial weapon in our quest for nine-in-a-row.
