Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou will send Carl Starfelt for a scan after the player hobbled off during today’s draw with Livingston.
Starfelt has been a much-improved performer in recent weeks, so this injury comes as a particular blow to the Bhoys ahead of an important European trip this week.
The Swedish international was clutching his leg as he pulled up in the second half, with Ange confirming he is suffering from a hamstring problem.

Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland [17:17], he said: “We’ll assess how the boys are. It’s a really important game in the context of the group and we’re looking forward to it.
“We’ll wait and see on Carl Starfelt. He felt something in his hamstring. He’ll get a scan tomorrow and we’ll see.
“With Carl coming off today and Tommy the other day, it’s the nature of football when you play so many games in a short space of time. You’re going to get some injuries and you’re going to need a big squad.”
Given the nature of hamstring injuries, it seems likely that Starfelt will be out for weeks even if it’s not a serious problem. That was the case with Tom Rogic mid-week, who had a similar issue away to Hibernian.
That means Starfelt is likely to miss matches against Ferencvaros and Dundee, at least, with the possibility of missing the St Johnstone semi-final after the international break too.
Stephen Welsh is the most likely candidate to come into the team, with Nir Bitton also available should the manager need him. Christopher Jullien has also been training with the team, but Postecoglou had previously said he was unlikely to be ready until after the international break.
We should find out the status of Starfelt in the manager’s pre-Ferencvaros press conference this week.
