If there is a phrase I could use to describe Ange Postecoglou, it would be he is one of a kind.

For a manager that has had no previous connection to the club to come in and just ‘get it’ is unbelievable.

He understands the whole ethos of the club, the foundations we were built on and the style of play we want to see from the stands.

His connection with the fans and how he has healed the fractured relationship between the Celtic board and the supporters in his first season has been nothing short of remarkable.

But what is the secret to it? How can one man get so many things right in such a short space of time?

And as it turns out, there is no such secret.

Ange revealed that he speaks to new up-and-coming coaches and managers when they visit Celtic Park and that he is up front about there being no magic formula to it.

Speaking on Celtic TV on YouTube, Postecoglou said, “I’ve had a lot of young managers and young coaches not just in football, other sports come through here and that’s the one message I try to instil in them.

“You are not going to come in here and find the secret to success.

“This is my secret to success. It’s not necessarily yours. What you might find here is an environment where you like certain things, but then it’s about how you put that into practice.

“I’m definitely a different type of leader today to when I first started 26 years ago, but the world has changed as well, so you need to be evolving.”

Ange Postecoglou’s honesty is just so refreshing. The way he speaks passionately about Celtic and football is what endears him to the fans.

His approach to the game also gets the buy in from the players and that is why he has been so successful in his managerial career.

You just know that from listening to him, Ange is going to achieve great things in football. Let’s hope it happens at Celtic.
