Brendan Rodgers says managing some Premier League clubs compared to Celtic and Rangers would be like ‘a holiday’.
Rodgers’ first taste of Premier League management was with Swansea City after guiding them to promotion in 2011.
He finished 11th with the Swans before accepting the offer to become Liverpool manager in the summer, replacing Kenny Dalglish.
Rodgers almost won the Premier League title in 2014 when Liverpool led by five points with just three matches to play.
But they slipped up against Chelsea and Crystal Palace, effectively handing the league crown to Manchester City.
Rodgers was sacked in October 2015 and joined Celtic less than a year later. He then had a stint back in the Premier League with Leicester City, managing them in Europe and winning the FA Cup.

Rodgers makes claim about managing Celtic and Rangers
But despite all of his experience managing in England’s top-flight, the most popular and wealthiest league in the world, most jobs in the division don’t come close to managing Celtic.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Rodgers reiterated the well known fact that the Hoops are expected to win every game, very different to the likes of Swansea and Leicester.
In fact, he actually said managing most Premier League teams would be considered a holiday compared to Celtic and managerless Rangers.
He said: “Celtic is right up there with the most pressurised jobs in football. With Celtic it’s an expectation to win every game and do it in a style synonymous with the club.
“The club was the first British team to win the European Cup, and they did so in a style that set the DNA for this club, it’s not just about winning. At Celtic it’s more than that.
“You could go to many teams in the Premier League and it would be a holiday compared to managing Celtic, and Rangers for that matter.”
Who will Rangers appoint as their new manager?
Rangers, at the moment, are no threat to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership given their disastrous start to the league season.
Russell Martin was a laughable failure and it seemed after his sacking, Steven Gerrard was set to be appointed again.

But Gerrard rejected further talks and it left Rangers fans fuming, panicking, and generally in a right mess.
Kevin Muscat now appears to be the man Rangers want and it is being reported by the Daily Record that a long-term contract has been ‘thrashed out’ with the Aussie.
Muscat, however, is currently manager of Shanghai Port and is on the verge of winning the Chinese Super League.
He is likely to remain in post until the final game of the season on November 22, meaning he probably won’t be in the dugout at Hampden to face Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final.
