Celtic have not yet completed the signing of Ismaila Soro, according to Hoops boss Neil Lennon. The Bhoys boss revealed that some paperwork has yet to be completed, and the player will not arrive in Glasgow until next week.
“We were hoping he would be here tomorrow but there’s been a hold up with the paperwork, so he’ll hopefully be here early next week” Lennon said, as quoted by the Celtic Twitter account.

The player has completed his medical with the Hoops though, so you would imagine that it is only a matter of time until the deal is done.
However, until the transfer is completed and confirmed by Celtic, there may be a doubt that the deal will be completed.
A pity he will not get Celtic Park reception
It is unfortunate for the player that he will not be announced on the pitch at Celtic Park on Saturday, as the Hoops are not at home for a few weeks he may to wait awhile to take his first bow in-front of the Hoops support.
It shouldn’t really be that much of a blow that Soro’s signing has suffered a slight delay. The reason for that is that Neil Lennon recently said that the player will need time to ‘adapt’ to playing for the Hoops.
Lennon ready to give player time to ‘adapt’
“We will give him time to adapt but I think he can play some games between now and the end of the season” he said, as quoted by the Scotsman.
That seems to indicate that the player will not be a regular this season. Therefore, there is no real issue with the delay, as it seems that he was not going to be an immediate starter in the first-team.
Still, the player, Neil Lennon and the Hoops support will want the deal confirmed as soon as possible. Hopefully there are no further hitches and Soro will arrive in Glasgow a Celtic player next week.
