Celtic’s Jeremie Frimpong has been one of the Hoops’ star performers this season, since breaking into the first-team.
His performances domestically have been excellent, and he has provided a spark to the Hoops side when need be.
However, he is currently out with an ankle injury that he picked up in the 3-1 win over Kilmarnock last month. His absence hasn’t stopped Celtic from winning, but Neil Lennon will want the player back in the side as soon as possible.

The Hoops boss has given a guarded update on Frimpong’s progress from his injury, telling the Celtic Twitter account that he is ‘hoping’ that the player will return to training on Monday.
“We’re hoping”
“We’re hoping he’ll be back in training on Monday” he said.
It is better for Celtic to be cautious when it comes to important players, who suffer what look to be bad injuries.
When Frimpong was stretchered off against Kilmarnock after a challenge by Alan Power, it looked as if he could be out of action for a long time.
Bonus if player returns after less than a month
However, he could be back after less than a month out, which would undeniably be a bonus for the Hoops. Should the player return to training on Monday, it will be interesting to see which game he could make his comeback in.

Perhaps an option is the league trip to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen on the 16th of February. That venue holds good memories for the player, as it is where he scored his first Celtic goal.
If he can’t make that game though, getting Frimpong fit for the Europa League trip to Copenhagen should be the goal.
He has yet to make his debut for Celtic in Europe, and there’s no doubt that will be a game he is eager to participate in.
Hopefully Frimpong makes his return sooner rather than later. His return will arguably make a good Celtic team an even better one.
