“Tom Rogic was brilliant. He’s got the bit between his teeth, and he looks night and day compared to how he was last season” he told the Celtic Twitter account following the Hoops’ 5-0 win.

Rogic scored in the game, which will hopefully kickstart his season. Lennon’s comments are certainly encouraging for both the player, and the Hoops support.

Last season wasn’t Rogic’s best for Celtic, mainly due to injuries, and international games with Australia. However, going by the boss’ comments, he is a completely different player from last season.

That could mean that Rogic starts more often for the Hoops going forward, in what is a very busy schedule for the team.

Can be a match-winner when he is on his game

When Rogic is on his game, he can win a match on his own for the Hoops. That is how good a player he has been for Celtic since he has been at the club.

Hopefully last season was an aberration for the player. If he can stay injury free this season, he is more than capable of scoring at least 10 goals for the Hoops from the middle of the park.

It has been a slow start to the season for Rogic. However, judging by Neil Lennon’s comments, he seems eager to make up for lost time. You wouldn’t bet against him making a significant contribution to the upcoming league game against Hibs.
