Celtic are on the verge of completing their first signing of the summer. Manager Neil Lennon hopes that it will be the first of many brought in before the transfer window closes.
David Turnbull is on his way to Celtic Park, and Neil Lennon has disclosed that he is hoping up to another five players join him at the Scottish champions.
“Maybe half a dozen”

“We are looking to bring in maybe half a dozen players in this window” he said, as reported by the Scotsman.
He then disclosed that the Hoops would be focusing on one particular area of the team.
“We are certainly looking to strengthen in defensive areas. We are hoping to get two or three in before the first Champions League deadline.”

Very promising for support
That does sound very promising for Celtic fans. In the past, the club seem to have been ponderous over their transfer dealings. That won’t be happening this summer if Lennon has his way.

It makes sense to focus on the defence. Mikael Lustig, Dedryck Boyata and Dedryck Boyata have all left the club this summer and need to be replaced.
Some defensive additions to the side in the next few weeks would be a great start to the summer for Celtic. The entire Celtic support will hope that Lennon does get the six players that he is after.
