The summer transfer window will soon be opening in Scotland once more. For Celtic, bringing in players will be more important than losing players.
However, should a top player move on from the club, the Hoops can’t afford to repeat the same mistake next season like they did this season.
Dembele scenario can’t be repeated
They can’t afford to let a player leave without bringing in a replacement. There can’t be another repeat of the Moussa Dembele scenario.
Dembele joined Lyon just as the summer transfer window came to an end. As a result, there was no real time to bring in a replacement.
As a result, the Hoops have struggled at times scoring goals all season. That could have been resolved if a replacement had been brought in after Dembele departed.
Hopefully no major exits
Hopefully there will be no major departures from the Celtic squad in the summer. However, should any player of significance depart then a replacement of similar quality must be brought in as soon as the player leaves.
Celtic need to bring in a host of new signings this summer to freshen up a team that looks to be stagnating. That could mean replacing key players who depart.
Fans won’t be happy if one of the top players at the club leaves. However, the upset won’t be as great if the Hoops have learned their lesson and sign a replacement.
