Celtic captain Scott Brown calls out Adrian Durham

Celtic captain Scott Brown took the opportunity to have a dig at Adrian Durham, after he himself was called out by a WWE superstar.

Drew Galloway, aka Drew McIntyre, sent out a video claiming that if there was one footballer he would want to wrestle it would be Brown. In what was a bit of a back-handed compliment, the WWE powerhouse claimed that Brown was good at being a very good wind-up merchant.

But Brown gave us a hint of his feelings towards Durham in the exchange too. The Hoops captain claimed he would get in the ring with McIntyre so long as Durham was there too.

You can watch the video as well as see Brown’s reply below:

We make Broony favourite

Considering wrestling is choreographed, we make the Hoops captain the favourite in this one. After all, he has more personality, achievements, and street-smarts than either of the other two.

Away from the kid-on stuff, however, Durham has more often than not been anti-Celtic in his views. It was only back in February when he took a laughable dig at Brown for celebrating a winner at Kilmarnock.

In the past, he’s labeled Celtic a “joke club” and stated that Rangers were coming to get us under Mark Warburton. He clearly has a bee in his bonnet when it comes to Celtic. For what reason, I think many of us could probably guess.

His dig at Brown a couple of months ago was dangerous too. Durham has always been a loudmouth on TalkSPORT. But his words about our captain after Kilmarnock were a disgrace.

Many Celtic fans likely wouldn’t mind if Brown and Durham stepped into a ring to solve their differences. I know who my money would be on – the man who has actually done something in football.

Durham needs to tone it down when speaking about Celtic. He just seems to ooze hatred. He tried to dismiss that idea when arguing with Chris Sutton a couple of years ago. But it’s difficult to come to any other conclusion when hearing his stuff.

And it’s clear Broony has been taking notice too.
