Celtic’s trophy celebrations simply do not get old for delighted fans after their Premier Sports Cup Final win over Rangers.

The Hoops‘ TV channel published their Unique Angle from the Premier Sports Cup Final last weekend and showed the squad loving life on the Hampden pitch following what was an enthralling evening of action against their rivals.

How the players had any energy left in their bodies to party in Glasgow is anyone’s guess after they played out a shattering 3-3 draw after 120 minutes that ended with a dramatic 5-4 penalty shootout victory.

Nicolas Kuhn had been excellent throughout the final but it was both Daizen Maeda and Kasper Schmeichel who were the spot-kick heroes as Celts overtook Gers in trophies overall.

More unique footage from the game showed Anthony Ralston make a demand of his Celtic teammates at full-time but now the club have released their celebration clips from both on the pitch at the end of the game and then in the dressing room.

Initial footage showed cup-tied midfielder Luke McCowan in his club gear as he gave both Maeda and loanee Alex Valle a cuddle.

Despite a slight delay, Celtic lifted the trophy through captain Callum McGregor where even manager Brendan Rodgers can be spotted in the background dancing along with his squad on the podium.

Luke McCowan was cup-tied for the final but still celebrated

Kasper Schmeichel has taken on the Joe Hart role both between the sticks and off the field, it seems, as the Dane rushed towards the fans to celebrate.

The footage follows summer signing Arne Engels holding his first Hoops trophy as he enters the changing room to Champagne flowing from Adam Idah.

Then goalkeeper Schmeichel was captured once again by the cameras, this time having a drink from the silverware before skipper CalMac does the same.

Kuhn – arguably Premier Sports Cup Final best player – was clocked dripping water, as opposed to booze, onto pal Kyogo’s head as a laugh with the celebrations in full flow.

Why McCowan was missing from Celtic squad vs Rangers

And the six-minute or so long video ended with a roaring smile from the squad with Luis Palma slap bang in the middle.

Midfielder McCowan was forced to watch the cup final from the stands after having already played in the competition for Dundee earlier this term.

The 27-year-old featured in four group stage games and a knockout win over Airdrie.

With the Greenock man missing it was up to Rodgers to make the decision on whether to start Paulo Bernardo or Engels in the engine room.

Bernardo played from kick-off but Engels came off the bench to provide an assist and then score in the shootout.

There had been delays in both the first and second halves and now the SPFL have issued another damning pyro statement.
