Celtic’s new coaching team isn’t just about Martin O’Neill.
Of course, O’Neill is the main presence, picking the team up after the resignation of Brendan Rodgers.
But his coaching staff consists of Shaun Maloney, Mark Fotheringham and Stephen McManus, all of whom played under O’Neill during his first Parkhead tenure.
Maloney is an experienced manager in his own right, having been in the hotseat at Hibernian and Wigan Athletic. McManus has been working with the Celtic B team.
But according to a report, it’s Fotheringham who is drawing attention from the hierarchy at Norwich City in the Championship.
Celtic coach Mark Fotheringham a contender for Norwich job
Norwich sacked Liam Manning at the weekend, and when you look at their results, it was clearly coming.
The Canaries have won just two of their 15 league matches this season, and only administration-riddled Sheffield Wednesday are below them in the Championship.

A mammoth task is at hand for whoever comes in – but according to the Scottish Sun, Fotheringham is under consideration, despite only just being in the door at Celtic.
Fotheringham has coached at Karlsruhe, Ingolstadt and Hertha Berlin in Germany as well as Swansea in the Championship last season.
He also spent five months in charge of Huddersfield Town, going viral for his post-match interviews and training clips.
Sky Sports claim that Gary O’Neill and sacked Rangers boss Russell Martin are both also in the running, having featured for Norwich in their playing careers.
But Fotheringham would be available without compensation, given his lack of a contract working temporarily at Celtic.
Former Celtic players Shane Duffy and Jeffrey Schlupp are on the books at the Canaries, as well as much-publicised Hoops target Mathias Kvistgaarden.
Their next game is against Kyogo Furuhashi’s Birmingham City.
