It has been confirmed that Celtic have received 708 tickets for the up-and-coming Glasgow derby clash against Rangers Ibrox.
After returning to competitive action last Saturday, the Bhoys have a busy fixture schedule for the rest of December, leading into 2023.
And Celtic’s first fixture of next year is bound to be an exciting one, with the second Glasgow derby of the season taking place on the 2nd of January.

Ange Postecoglou’s side are currently sitting in a good position ahead of the trip to Ibrox, holding a nine-point lead at the top.
However, there are still three more games until the 2023 derby fixture, and the Celtic manager will have his team focused on the current task at hand.
Of course, that is the stance every Celtic supporter will take. However, there is the small matter of sorting the ticket allocation for those lucky enough to be heading to the game.
This afternoon, the Celtic ticket office announce the ticket details for our visit to Ibrox at the beginning of next month, confirming that the club had been allocated 708 briefs.
With tickets costing £52, only a select few lucky season ticket holders will be heading to support Ange Postecoglou and his players in the derby.
The criteria to receive a ticket for this match further emphasises the ridiculousness of the Ibrox allocation, with a random ballot amongst fans who have attended 42 or more away games over seasons 21/22, 19/20 and 18/19 taking place.
Derby ticket issues roll on as just over 700 prepare for Ibrox trip.
It is quickly becoming a forgotten memory, but I am sure the majority of supporters will remember the days of the old away allocation at Ibrox.
That allocation behind the goal has been cut down by over 6,000 seats since the 2019/20 season, and we are still yet to see the issue resolved.
Every time the allocation is released for this fixture, it becomes more and more ridiculous to look at, when you consider part of what makes the Glasgow derby so special.
It seems crazy that no other solution can be found, including giving Celtic supporters at least 3,000 tickets, which is regularly handed to away European supporters at Ibrox.
Ultimately, we don’t seem any closer to finding a solution to this issue, and it continues to rumble on into 2023.
