The Josip Juranovic Celtic media conference yesterday was a treat.
The Croatian international has been an excellent acquisition for Ange Postecoglou, quickly becoming a favourite with supporters not just for his performances but his general demeanour. He has the air of a cult hero about him.
And when asked about how much he was looking forward to playing Rangers, his reply was effortless and excellent.

Juranovic said in yesterday’s press conference [Celtic YouTube]: “We prepare for this game like we prepare against, I don’t know, Hibs or Hearts. We will not do anything out of the ordinary. We need to keep watching ourselves and then after the final whistle, we’ll see where we are.
“After this game, we have so many games. If we win all the way we will be champions, that is the main thing.
“When we play at home we have 60,000 people who cheer with us. It’ll be a huge game. But after this game, we have so many games and we have to watch ourselves and that’s it.”
This is exactly what you want to hear from a Celtic player. There’s no sense in buying into the media hype of the match. There’s enough of that going around, the Celtic camp have to stay very focused on their own processes.
That’s not to say they don’t understand what’s at stake, they just aren’t treating this game any differently to others.
Juranovic is likely to start for Celtic tonight and will play a key role. Let’s hope he is a happy man come full time.
