Celtic dominate Sky Sports transfer list with Hearts fans left bizarrely raging

For some reason, the Hearts fans are absolutely furious with Celtic bossing Sky Sports’ top transfer list.

Sky produced an article today using stat-experts WhoScored to try and determine who the top 10 summer signings in the Scottish Premiership were. Sky stated that the statisticians used a “unique rating system” of players who have featured in at least half of their club’s games.

Celtic bossed the likes with five of the top seven players. Carl Starfelt was ranked at 7, whilst Kyogo Furuhashi was one spot above him. Cameron Carter-Vickers took number 3, whilst Liel Abada sat behind Jota at the top of the list.

Elsewhere, Hearts’ Beni Baningime took 8th place, with St Mirren’s Scott Tanser and Dundee Utd’s Charlie Mulgrew below him.

It was clearly a bit of harmless fun. And whilst it’s unclear how WhoScored have created the list, all players listed have indeed had positive performances recently.

Hearts fans oddly take issue with Sky Sports list; Celtic too dominant for their liking

Is this list an accurate reflection of the best signings in Scottish football this summer? Let’s be honest, no. Beningime deserves to be higher up the list for certain, as does Furuhashi.

There’s a debate to be had over whether Jota and Abada should hold the top two spots, but it’s not a ridiculous notion either given their impact on Celtic.

The inclusion of Starfelt may frustrate many. After all, he’s been widely criticised for some errors made at the start of his Celtic career. But Ange Postecoglou has persisted with him and we’re now finally seeing some improvements.

But the article is clearly nothing more than a bit of international break fun. Someone forgot to tell the Hearts supporters however. They’re behaving as though we’re talking about official Player of the Year awards here.

Here’s a look at some of their meltdowns as they were left fuming with the list more than any other club’s fans:

In other news, Things should be about to get a lot better at Celtic next week
