Celtic duo Dedryck Boyata and Nir Bitton have yet to drop out of their international squads respectively.
That, therefore, is great news for the Hoops.
Both men failed to feature in the match-day squad against Dundee on Sunday. Question marks could immediately be raised as to why both dropped out, particularly the Belgian, who ended up missing out due to a knock.
Injury concerns are the main worry for both men. But, if there was a genuine risk regarding either of the pair of them, you have to imagine they would’ve dropped out of their international sides.

Boyata will likely take part in the Belgium match-day squad when they host Russia on Thursday night. As for Bitton, he’s part of the Israeli squad to face Slovenia and Austria respectively.
There is the chance that both are assessed by their respective medical staffs and sent home, but at this point that seems a real doubt.
Call-offs would’ve been expected had they been injured
Celtic, you have to imagine, would’ve strongly encouraged them from going if there were genuine concerns over their fitness levels. So much so that you would’ve expected a call-off by now.
Boyata, first and foremost, will be key in two weeks against Rangers. It’ll be his job alongside Kristoffer Ajer most likely to snuff out Alfredo Morelos and the Rangers attacks. Boyata has historically performed well at Parkhead against the Ibrox side, and another top display is essential.

Bitton, on the other hand, has to be a reserve. With Callum McGregor back, he’ll likely slot in alongside Scott Brown. The Israeli is a good option to have on the bench, however, and that makes his availability a positive too.
It looks as though both men are sure bets to stay injury free heading into their countries’ respective matches. And it’s likely they’re both going to be fine to face Rangers so long as they don’t pick up any additional knocks on international duty.
Neil Lennon has confirmed that he’ll be “biting his nails” over the international break. It’s fair to say the rest of us will be doing the same.
