Celtic were four points clear of second place heading into the weekend’s Scottish Premiership action and have come out the other side with a seven-point advantage.
Rangers have moved level on points with St Mirren, but leapfrog them into second courtesy of goal difference.
A 3-0 win in Paisley earned the Ibrox side three points after a dismal week that resulted in Michael Beale’s sacking and a European embarrassment.
It means St Mirren have dropped further behind Celtic this weekend after the Bhoys won 3-1 at home to Kilmarnock on Saturday afternoon.
The Bhoys sit on 22 points from 24 available and are now the only undefeated side in the league this season. Rangers and St Mirren are both on 15 with Hearts further behind on 11.
The Tynecastle side are up next for Brendan Rodgers’ outfit. Celtic travel to the capital on 22nd October at the start of a difficult week in all competitions.
Atletico Madrid will visit Celtic Park a few days later before the Bhoys head back to Edinburgh to take on Hibernian at Easter Road.

Rodgers will get a couple of good weeks’ training into the squad that remains at Lennoxtown to fully prepare for that gauntlet, before welcoming the international contingent back in the build-up to that Tynecastle date.
The champions are sitting pretty right now but there’s lots of hard work ahead to maintain their dominance over the rest of the division.
