Even a few weeks ago, Celtic fans might’ve approached a match against Rangers with reasonable trepidation.
With both teams on excellent form, however, Bhoys supporters have more reason to feel confident. Recently Celtic have prospered under Neil Lennon’s tactical changes.
Gerrard’s men keep winning, but they look less convincing. They crashed out of the Betfred Cup against St. Mirren (Telegraph), and look more fallible than before.
Mind you, it would take far more dire circumstances to dampen the spirits of Celtic supporters. On Twitter, the supporters have been continually bullish.

Pressure on the Bhoys today
Celtic fans are right to be optimistic, but there’s a lot riding on a result today.
With 3 games in hand, the Bhoys are currently 16 points behind Rangers (SPFL). With a win today and in the games in hand, that lead becomes a 3 point deficit.
That becomes a very achievable summit to climb. The opposite outcome isn’t worth considering.
Celtic have overcome bigger obstacles in the past. However, with the momentum Rangers have, a win today would be a massive practical and psychological blow to Gerrard’s chances of interrupting Celtic’s league dominance.
