Frustrated Celtic fans are beginning to notice glaring weaknesses in Craig Gordon.

The number one keeper is receiving bad feedback on social media websites for being apparently unable to save penalty kicks or play football from the back.

This has led to calls by fans for Brendan Rodgers to buy a new keeper next month.

Tale of the tape

After a strong first season, Gordon is beginning to grate on some fans who want him replaced.

The ‘good shot stopper’ accolade towards him is no longer buying to the supporters.

The Aberdeen match only confirmed to his critics that there is no confidence in the 35-year-old saving from 12 yards.

Furthermore, if he was stronger and commanding he could have came out and prevented the Dons’ third.

Rodgers has massive decision to make

It doesn’t come any bigger in Scotland for Celtic than Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

Last time the champions visited, Bain made his signature winning debut.

The game will be a fight and there could be penalties, cards and stramashes in the box in which the Celts will need a commanding keeper.

However, that was long ago and fans are edging towards Bain every week.

Like it or not, Gers striker Alfredo Morelos is on fire and is therefore Steven Gerrard’s best chance at a goal.

Whoever Rodgers goes with must be the correct decision or face the consequences.
