The Parkhead board have come under fire as the Celtic Fans Collective point the finger at interim chair, Brian Wilson.
Wilson was appointed Celtic chairman temporarily after Peter Lawwell left the position at the beginning of this year.
Since then, Wilson called for unity between the club and supporters as he pled for the Celtic fan protests to stop in order to take the club forward this season.
The first thing I would do if I was on the Celtic board is – – – –
Those words were spoken on the 17th of December and now, a full month on, the silence from Wilson and the Celtic board since has been deafening.
And now, the Celtic Fans Collective has called out Wilson and used the words the Celtic chairman spoke to attack the Scottish Government this week and turned them back on him and the Parkhead board.

Celtic Fans Collective slam Brian Wilson for ignoring unity plea
Back when Peter Lawwell announced his Celtic retirement, Wilson rather ironically pled for unity from the Parkhead support.
Well, it seems that after an olive branch was delivered to the board from the Celtic Fans Collective, the club have ignored it and angered the fan group further.
A statement from the Collective said on X, “After the removal of Wilfried Nancy and Paul Tisdale and the reappointment of Martin O’Neill, interim Chair Brian Wilson asked supporters to unite and push the team through the second half of the season.
“Despite the anger and calls for a boycott, we agreed unity was in Celtic’s best interests. We contacted Wilson to arrange a meeting, on the understanding that mediation would be needed to unite supporters.
That offer has been ignored.
“Instead, Wilson has used his time this week to attack the Scottish Government as tired and visionless in a national newspaper.
“At the same time, Martin O’Neill has been left managing expectations while admitting there has been no proper planning for the January window.”
Celtic board slammed for being ‘caught short’ again in the transfer window
As Celtic fans watch their title rivals strengthen this January, the Parkhead board have yet to add another player to the ranks since the addition of Julian Araujo on the 2nd of January.
And the Collective has slammed the board for their lack of forward planning in yet what looks like another fruitless transfer window.
The statement continued, “Once again, Celtic have been caught short and are desperately failing to recruit the players required for the title race. More than a year after selling our star striker, we still have not replaced him.
“To use Brian Wilson’s language, the Celtic board is tired and visionless. If Wilson wants unity, it requires action, accountability and reconciliation.
“Our manager must be supported in the transfer market, the Green Brigade must be brought back to the stadium to reinvigorate the matchday atmosphere, the fan media ban should be revoked and the interim Chair must be willing to engage with supporters to mend the disconnect that has grown this season.
“Only then will his calls for unity have any meaning.”
The statement is scathing, cutting and bang on the money. What planning did the Celtic board put in place prior to the transfer window opening on the 1st of January?
Looking at the business completed so far, not much by the looks of it.
