The performance and brace from Odsonne Edouard vs Kilmarnock has attracted much more praise from the Celtic support.
Edouard continues to be Celtic’s main man when they need him most. He took his tally up to eight goals in 14 games so far this season alone. It’s clear to see he’s breaking out as Celtic’s key man this season.
What made them more important was the fact that Celtic struggled early on. They were 1-0 down thanks to Eamonn Brophy before French Eddy’s brace. Once again, it provided more evidence to the idea that he’s a big-game player who scores when his club needs him most.
And, reacting to his performance today on Twitter, Celtic fans couldn’t have any more love for him than they currently do.
Edouard is on fire. He’s more settled and flourishing. Honestly can’t wait to continue to watch his progression.

Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself but Edouard is better than Dembele and will go on and do better things. 🍀💚🍋

Really enjoyable game at Celtic Park, plenty of good play, a couple of really good goals and some contentious decisions. Eamonn Brophy with a brilliant strike and Odsonne Edouard once again showing his true worth, a goal down and he flips the game on it's head with a double.

Odsonne Edouard’s first goal today was his second ever headed goal for Celtic, and his first since February. He’s now scored 41 goals for the club.

Can he become Scotland’s top scorer this season?
We don’t want to start up any ridiculous Edouard vs Morelos debate. It’s been done far too often, and we all know French Eddy is a class above when it comes to his all-round game.
But there’s no denying that Edouard also has a ruthless nature to his game this season. He’s managed eight goals so far this season. Last term, he had only netted four by this stage of the campaign.
Despite his 22 goals last season, Edouard still failed to become the top goalscorer in the country. The award went to the Ibrox man, in what was the only thing he won all season. But Edouard must really have his sights set on it this year.
He’s currently four behind Morelos. However, if we’re being fair, Edouard didn’t have matches against part-time teams like St Joseph’s or poor quality outfits such as Progres Niederkorn a couple of months ago.
Edouard, however, is really showing his class. He looks like scoring every time he walks out onto a pitch for Celtic.
Next up is Partick Thistle at Parkhead on Wednesday night. It would be a huge surprise if Edouard started the game given it screams like a match to play some back-up players in. With Leigh Griffiths and Vakoun Issouf Bayo waiting in the wings, the Frenchman could be given a rare rest.
But if he resumes action on Saturday against Hibernian at Easter Road, it would take a brave person to bet against him adding to his tally.
