Celtic fans have been weighing in on the Kieran Tierney vs Marcelo Saracchi debate for the run-in.
Both players have contributed this season, though the standing left-back berth has often been given to Tierney.
It’s hard to argue with his return of six goals and eleven assists, but some fans have shown preference for Saracchi, who has often made his contributions from the bench.
TalkingPoints users have been giving their takes, with four Scottish Premiership games remaining, as well as the Scottish Cup final.

Celtic fans give mixed responses on Tierney vs Saracchi on TalkingPoints
One fan thinks that the Hoops shouldn’t try to fix what isn’t broken, saying: “Stick with Tierney, one area of the pitch that isn’t broken.”
Another agrees that both players’ current roles are suitable: “I don’t see anything wrong with the status quo. Get a good 60-70 out of Kieran, then give Saracchi the rest of the game.

A third agrees with their respective roles, saying: “It works quite well, especially when opposition teams are knackered and have to deal with Saracchi getting forward.”
Other users would be in favour of a switch-up however. One said: “Give Kieran a rest. I like Marcelo’s movement.”
Another praised Saracchi’s pace, saying: “Saracchi is fast and moves well, we should keep him.”
Finally, one Hoops fan questioned the Uruguayan’s defensive capability, saying: “I fear that Saracchi may be a defensive liability, but I like him on the ball. I’d like to see him given a start.”
Celtic have reportedly scheduled talks with Saracchi and his representatives, as the club look to make his loan move from Boca Juniors permanent.
Boca paid a £1.6 million fee to bring Saracchi to La Bombonera in August 2023. He has also played for RB Leipzig, Galatasaray and River Plate.
He has made 23 appearances this season, around half of which have been from the start. If it weren’t for injury, he likely would’ve made much more.

Martin O’Neill on Kieran Tierney’s fitness
Speaking after Celtic’s win over Falkirk, in which Tierney scored, manager Martin O’Neill provided an update on the defender’s fitness.
He said: “Yeah, Kieran was… I’m hoping that he’ll be all right.
“I think from the knock, I think he recovered. Great goal. Great goal from a very, very fine player.”
Tierney is enjoying the best goalscoring season of his career, and has already appeared in more matches this season than any during his spell at Arsenal.
