Celtic fans defy ticket issues to make statement at Hearts game

Celtic fans experienced difficulty buying their tickets for a potential winner takes all clash against Hearts on the final day of the season, but made their voices known.

The Hoops announced that tickets for the final game of the season were on general sale from 10am on Tuesday 21 April.

Tickets sold out, as expected, but it wasn’t without controversy.

Celtic website crashes during ticket sales for Hearts game

Fans logging in to try and buy tickets were met with disruption and delays, with many reporting that the site had crashed.

It later transpired that ticket provider Ticketmaster were responsible for the issue and not the club itself.

When supporters were trying to buy tickets for the game at Parkhead, the site would pause before kicking the user out and back into a queue that would then be paused.

Luckily they were still able to access the site and the game is a sell-out.

Celtic need the backing of the support in the business end of the season

The Green Brigade have rallied for supporters to get behind the team in the final weeks and the demand for tickets proves that fans want to play their part.

Given the fact that the title could be decided on that very day, ensuring that there isn’t an empty seat inside the stadium can go a long way.
