Celtic manager Neil Lennon handed youngster David Turnbull his Bhoys debut against Ross County today.
The 21-year-old came off the bench for the final 15 minutes of a 5-0 Scottish Premiership victory over Ross County.
Turnbull looked tidy on the ball in Dingwall, though with the game effectively over when he entered the action and limited time to impress, itβs hard to read too much into what we witnessed.
Still, the fact he got the nod from the manager provides optimism he is doing well in training and impressing Lennon enough to include him in the action.
The Bhoys boss isnβt exactly known for frivolous substitutions so Turnbull must have earned his opportunity.
After such a difficult 12 months, the Scotland U21 international was also delighted to turn out for the Hoops, taking to Twitter after the match to say: βGreat feeling making my debut today! Great result, more to come!β

Turnbull came on for Scott Brown and through a long season could well be the captainβs regular understudy in the heart of Lennonβs midfield.
Brown may not have the legs to play a 60+ match campaign and in Turnbull has real competition for his place in the team now, even if youβd consider the youngster more of an attacking player than the veteran.
Thereβs no reason why we canβt utilise both players extensively throughout the coming season.
Now that Turnbull has his debut out of the way, more appearances are likely to follow in the coming weeks.
