Celtic fans are, if anything, very active on Twitter.
With Sunday’s Cup Final very much in focus, there’s heated debate about whether Scott Brown or Ismaila Soro should start against Hearts.
Broony has played over 1800 minutes for Celtic this season (Transfermarkt). However, Soro has come into the side over the last two games and the results have spoken for themselves (BBC).
With Neil Lennon heralding Brown as an “icon”, Hoops fans have been having heated discussions online today.

“Icon schmicon” – Celtic fans have their say

A better kind of debate
We’ve spoken a lot about the divided Celtic fan base in recent weeks.
Some are all for sacking the board and Neil Lennon. Others want to back the team, and sack the board. For many, a number of Celtic fans are being entitled.
For once, then, it’s nice to have a chasm in the Celtic support that’s far less ugly. Things don’t seem so bad if we’re arguing about team selection ahead of a Cup Final.
Whether you’re in the Soro camp or the Brown camp, it’s still exciting. Celtic are on the verge of making history once more. With our rivals faltering, there’s a real chance to build more momentum as we chase the 10.
Whoever starts on Sunday, fans need to back the side as they reach for immortality.
