Celtic fans are, if anything, very active on Twitter.
With Sunday’s Cup Final very much in focus, there’s heated debate about whether Scott Brown or Ismaila Soro should start against Hearts.
With Neil Lennon heralding Brown as an “icon”, Hoops fans have been having heated discussions online today.
“Icon schmicon” – Celtic fans have their say
This is why Lennon should be replaced.
See if we got a decent manager in who played his best 11 and coached the players and had a plan A,B etc then I reckon we would win the https://t.co/KV9Rd2omlI time for sentiment when trophies are at a stake.

So is Bertie Auld.
He isn’t playing, and neither should Brown

Icon shmicon, Soro should start. Sentiment wins you nada in this game.

Brown has cemented his status as Celtic legend and captain.
However both Lennon and Brown, will both know deep down they are at end of the road.
Lennon’s insistence on making the wrong decisions will hasten his p45

If there is any justice or decency , then Scott Brown must lead his team at the Cup Final on Sunday. We owe him so much for past efforts and leadership, he is more than due his Grand Finale.

A forlorn Neil Lennon is substituted in his last Celtic game in 2007 SCF. No sentiment was showed by Gordon Strachan and it was the correct decision. Does Neil now have the mental strength to do similar on Sunday and leave out Scott Brown from the start? Big call to be made. pic.twitter.com/SAjCV988YZ

Lennon should be sacked before kick off if he changes a winning team
Hes actually stumbled on a way out of this mess he’s created and seems intent to make a mess of it

Absolute stick on Scott Brown starts on Sunday. Don’t think we should change a winning team normally, but the guy does deserve to lead us out at Hampden. On to history…🍀

A better kind of debate
We’ve spoken a lot about the divided Celtic fan base in recent weeks.
For once, then, it’s nice to have a chasm in the Celtic support that’s far less ugly. Things don’t seem so bad if we’re arguing about team selection ahead of a Cup Final.
Whether you’re in the Soro camp or the Brown camp, it’s still exciting. Celtic are on the verge of making history once more. With our rivals faltering, there’s a real chance to build more momentum as we chase the 10.
Whoever starts on Sunday, fans need to back the side as they reach for immortality.
