Celtic fans flocked to Twitter last night to get in touch with former midfielder Marc Crosas after his class update commemorating his signing at the Bhoys.
Crosas said: “12 years ago today, my life changed forever. 💚🍀 10/08/2008.”
Crosas signed for the club during the Gordon Strachan era, arriving from Barcelona on a four-year deal.
Despite showing potential and promise at the age of 20, he would never really quite cement himself as a first-team regular and eventually left the club in 2011 for the Russian Premier League.
Spells in Mexico and Spain would follow before retirement, with the 32-year-old now an analyst for American Spanish-language sports channel TUDN.
Although he never quite hit the heights at Celtic Park he has been remembered fondly by supporters and in the years since he has been a consistent and vocal fan of the Scottish champions on social media.
It’s been obvious for years he absolutely adored his spell in Glasgow with the club and it’s now clear he sees his arrival as a real turning point in his life.

Crosas was a classy, creative midfielder on his day and in another era may well have had a bigger role to play.
At the time, management pursued a physical and combative engine room unit.
In total he made 51 appearances for the Hoops.
