The SPFL have released the post-split Scottish Premiership fixture list, as Celtic fans find out when they can plan a title party.
In an ideal world, Celtic should have won the title at Parkhead this weekend against Kilmarnock, but the defeat at St Johnstone put paid to those plans.
Many Celtic fans also thought that the Scottish Premiership title was wrapped up yesterday as Rangers looked like they were going to lose against Aberdeen at Ibrox.
But once again, the champagne was put on ice after a late equaliser meant that Celtic’s trophy count remained at 119 for at least another two weeks.
However, Celtic fans can now plan their title party after the SPFL released the post-split fixture list, and it seems that a celebration at Ibrox is not on the cards this season.

The key dates Celtic fan can plan title-winning party
In a statement released on the SPFL official website, Brendan Rodgers now knows when he can officially win Celtic’s 55th league title.
- Dundee United (A), Saturday April 26: 12;30pm for Sky Sports
- Rangers (A), Sunday May 4: 12pm for Sky Sports
- Hibernian (H), Saturday May 10: 3pm
- Aberdeen (A), Wednesday 14: 7:45pm
- St Mirren (H), Saturday, May 17: 12:30pm for Sky Sports
With Celtic 15 points ahead of Rangers with 15 left to play for, technically, the league can still be won at Ibrox.
But the likelihood of the Parkhead club losing to Dundee United and then going to Rangers to win the league are extremely slim.
Celtic’s record vs Rangers since 1980
Celtic have enjoyed near-total domination of Scottish football for much of this century. However, against Rangers, the Parkhead club have been the major force.
Since 1980, Celtic have played the Ibrox club on 129 occasions, but who has enjoyed the lion’s share of positive results?
Here, 67 Hail Hail looks back at the last 40+ years of Glasgow Derby results:
- Celtic wins: 62
- Rangers wins: 48
- Draws: 19
- Celtic goals scored: 201
- Rangers goals scored: 167
- Most memorable win: Celtic 6 v 2 Rangers
Despite the chances of winning the league at Ibrox looking extremely slim, Celtic fans will still enjoy the latest success and their continued dominance over their biggest rivals.
