Celtic defender Christopher Jullien has sent out a Twitter post to supporters for the first time in nearly a month, celebrating today’s win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup.
Jullien has been a regular fixture on Celtic social media ever since he signed from Toulouse last summer.
However, before today, his last Twitter message was a cryptic ‘tortoise and the hare’ post on October 3rd.
His message this evening was easier to understand as the big defender enjoyed today’s win over the Dons, using his customary hashtag.
Fans, desperate for him to return to starting contention in Neil Lennon’s team, flocked to the post to leave hundreds of replies and thousands of likes.
Sadly though, his return still looks weeks away if we look at the manager’s most recent comments on the defender’s situation.
Lennon told The Herald on Tuesday that Jullien was still receiving treatment in Germany and was a while away from even being able to train.
He said: “He’s over in Germany having intensive treatment on his back. But we’re looking at a few weeks from now before he returns to training.
“Christopher’s receiving extensive, round-the-clock physiotherapy. He’ll stay over there for another week or so, and we’ll assess him once he comes back. He’s had a lot of discomfort in his back, although the scans have shown nothing significant.”
Hopefully, his arrival at Lennoxtown over the coming days will shed more light on the problem and allow the manager to give an update on a return timescale.

Slowly but surely we are getting our best players back from injury and fitness following a horror month.
Jullien will certainly have a big part to play over the coming season and supporters are clearly excited about his comeback.
In other news, Derek McInnes has admitted Neil Lennon’s team selection today ‘spooked’ his players.
